Remember first to
listen very carefully for even the suspicion of any differences and
you need to know that the 1st. string is the thinnest, the 6th. the
thickest! The top string of your guitar by the way is the one that
sounds highest in pitch, not the one furthest away from the floor!

Finally
a method you can use even when you`ve got to the stage of not
bothering to listen. Our electronic
tuners with built-in microphone for acoustic guitars and
audio socket for electrics, tell you exactly how accurately each
string is tuned, and most will even work out for themselves what
string they are “listening” to.
Electronic
tuners are much less expensive than they used to be.
