Are We?
 We
are The Music Box in the Lanes in Meadowhall,
a real music shop shopand are now approaching
our 20th year in Meadowhall Centre,
one of the largest and most successful shopping
centres in the country.
We are
situated near the Oasis in a double unit
in The Lanes, Meadowhall, amongst probably
the most varied and interesting shops in
the centre, an area provides a sharp
contrast with the selection of large predictable
multiples you usually find in most shopping
centres and high streets.
Our directors,
working musicians who still serve in the
store, have been associated with the
music industry for over 40 years and bring
a range of musical skills to the service
of our customers, having previously associated
also with Wersi
organs, Baldwin Pianos, Farfisa organs and
a large range of accordions in a previous
shop in Barnsley, Aura Sounds later
renamed Wersi North.
As such
we still have connections with Barnsley
Accordion Club and Alex
Govier who is one of our directors
is much in demand playing piano or accordion
for hotels, restaurants, weddings and other
special occasions.
We are
normally able to give the quickest possible
special order service on music books and
guitar tab books, placing regular orders
with the principal music publishers at least
twice a week.
As well
as our rapid turnover in music and guitar
tab books and dvds, we stock a wide
range of acoustic and electric guitars including,
Ibanez, Schlecter, Crafter, Vintage, Stagg,
Tanglewood, Dean, and others, and
maintain a specialist staff to advise customers
on this very successful side of the business.
A large
part of our business is also in supplying
accessories, such as music or stands,
strings, electronic tuners, effects pedals,
clarinet and saxophone reeds, school recorders
and educational items and much more..

collection or mail order by phoning
us on 0114 256 9089. The web-page gives
you our opening hours for the day you visit
our site for this purpose. (This may not
be accurate for Bank Holidays, which are
normally 10am to 6pm, but we are open 363
days a year, only closing Christmas Day
and Easter Sunday)
There
may be occasions when we are too busy to
take your call or the phone line is busy,
but we wil answer you directly with a member
of staff and will not waste your valuable
time by leaving you on hold or in a queue.
